Lights - Siberia

5vel did a haunting remix of this track: lurvin the lyrics, it helps that Lights is not a bad looker :p

From the busy parks, to the icy tides
Someday we'll decide
where we want to live out our lives
For now we're two sparks, tumbling along
Keeping the heat on
even though summer's come and gone

I would sail across the east sea
just to see you on the far side
Where the wind is cold and angry
there you'll be to take me inside
We'll find ways to fill the empty
far from all the hysteria
I don't care if we suddenly
find ourselves in Siberia, Siberia

Inside a street car, or on a mountain trail
Details, details
You breathe in when I exhale
No matter where we are
or which way the wind blows
or how heavy the snow,
nothing can change where we will go

I would sail across the east sea
just to see you on the far side
Where the wind is cold and angry
there you'll be to take me inside
We'll find ways to fill the empty
far from all the hysteria
I don't care if we suddenly
find ourselves in Siberia, Siberia
We'll leave Canada, for Siberia

Death: Hades

Loved this video: great lyrics, focusing on a fave topic of mine: Death, garnished w a glorious past, and an uncertain future(porno warning btw!!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szRwwjaxcsg

The music + vibe reminded me of True by Twyker+Klimek in 2006 movie Paris, je t'aime(Nat Portman and the blind fella with the world passin by). The model in this is a famos gaylord but did the job well, and is actually pretty artistic!

In the town of enlightenment where jealousy fills me with despair
Only a drop of ether would suffice
to bury me in the P'ere Lachaise.
Hate flows from these necrophiles
and like a bitch that has been banished from the city
I'll become the fierce Cerberus
plunging into the loquacious Seine.

Deep in the abyss, feel my bones.
your diluted tears are warm to me
Take up your arms again and let's swim against the stream
I am as ready as this ode unfolds
From the surface of this black river
I'll be reborn as a nymph of the past.
Nothing effaces itself. O, grant my wish
even if i die in the Styx.

You are my tattooed skull
my vanity of heavy omen
You my austrian, my soul is yours
you are the essence of my childhood.
Blow away with your young age my dark clouds
that shade me today.
The poplar trees spread out in the wind
and beneath your hips I have no age

I am not daunted by the catacombs
as long as they bring me near the shadown where you succumb

You are not mistaken because within my fate
will be born in you "the little death"

In the wingspan of my high heels
arched wounds stand still.
The needle pierces achilles' foot,
In the end I'm only a little girl

At Hades' gates and in a joyless state
You will be my sinneress.
But without Agnus Dei
Could I abolish our prophecy?

Let's leave this place and go adrift
cherishing you with indefatigable love

Timidly with my saliva, regenerating your entrails

Brazil: research

ok doing a bit of research ... here are results:
1 US dollar = 1.7100 Brazilian reals/1 Brazilian real = 0.5848 US dollars
Tax is a bit bad, but then again, similar to the US ... and SaoPaulo is the most expensive costCentre in the Americas(yes, more than NYC!), so I'll expect to get a VERY good paypacket woohoo! ... Negotiations on monday: fingers crossed! Once I have that on the table I can "hassle out" a trading job: losing the Ghoshmeister at such a time will be very bad for the Swaps desk: yeeeah! ... Meanwhile, the jobhunt elsewhere continues: but dammmn this recession!!!

Brazil biz ... good local technical info

torn ... trading or SaoPaulo for mah next adventure ?

Yeah so the TOK-NYC move will be hard to beat!
but its time to start planning ahead for the next move.

Getting old: 30 in october, so my chance to hit it big has to happen soon.
NYC is perfectly aggressive, and it looks like I need to step up the game here: the right time and situation. So anyhoo, I shd be done travelling the Americas in 1.5yrs and the macro in UK is not getting any better soon: time to either do another working holiday(like Tokyo and NYC) or start focusing on career: Need to stop moving sideways like I have been for 12yrs.
There's a middle office job waiting in Sao Paulo at the end of my time in NYC with Lucas' EM boys(I have to keep the current job til nov11 atleast to avoid paying back abt. $20,000 in relocation costs back to Deutsche. On the other hand, all the cleanup work I'm doing here is getting a lot of attention from the desk: I seem to be part of all exotic and vol discussions they wanna discuss even though I'm in vanilla swaps lol. A few big hitters have left, so a few spaces going: even tradecapture people seem to think they can hit the desk in a few months lol. Shame is my situation wont change when i do turn 30, but atleast I'll have something concrete sorted by then. Time to decide on what that will be from now.
Middle Office in Brazil with chance to move into trading, or move into trading now? ... dunnooo!
Either way though, "this time next year Rodders, we'll be millionaires" heehee.

Sad Poem: boohooo!

Found this online while looking for a poem to send Felicia, what a tear jerker !

July 12 is his birthday - boyfriend passed away in May of 2006 - first of EVERYTHING without him.

We always spent your birthday up at Hampton Beach.
Then we'd have dinner and watch the stars out of reach.
We'd float in the ocean and dry off in the sun,
it was always time away together second to none.
I went the beach today the way we use to do,
unfortunately it's not the same Hon without you.
As I now put my lounge chair down in the hot sand,
I imagine you with me and holding my hand.
Summer use to be our favorite time of year,
it comes now for me with deep regret and a tear.
It's the first birthday your not here anymore,
I even stopped myself from getting your gifts at the store.
I think back now and compare you to a summer's breeze,
you were always so laid-back, loving and easy to please.
People will have their own way of remembering you today,
some will be sad, some will smile and some will pray.
So as you have your cake looking down on us from above.
I'll light a candle and sing Happy Birthday to you my LOVE.

You'll always be the sunshine of my life!

Love and Miss you.Liz
